Basic Skills Necessary:

  • This pattern requires the knowledge of chain stitch, slip stitch, double crochet, and working in back loops only.

Pattern Description:

This is a beautiful cowl that is very quick to crochet. The drawstring allows you to wear it tied for a cowl, or can be left open and worn as a shawlette.

When I saw this metallic yarn in my local yarn shop, it reminded my of a frosty January night, which inspired this pattern. (Note: the suggested yarn is a ribbon yarn, but I did not work it according the typical use of ribbon yarn, instead I worked with it like a regular strand of yarn)

  • Cowl measures 26" at neckline (with drawstring to decrease size) by 9 inches deep.

  • Red Heart Boutique Sashay Metallic Super Bulky Weight Yarn (3.5oz/100g_30yds/27m per ball) - 3 balls color # 9929 Diamonds
